Gallbladder Flush 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
In his book, "Apple cider Vinegar," Paul Bragg says:

" Organic, unfiltered apple juice is rich in malic acid, potassium, pectins and enzymes. These act as solvents to soften and help remove debris (small stones, etc.) and cleanse the body.[...]During the 2-day gallbladder flush no food is eaten, only liquids. Combine in 8 oz glass: 1/3 Bragg Organic Olive Oil (no substitutes), 2/3 apple juice (organic) and 1 tsp. Bragg ACV [NA Apple Cider Vinegar]. Drink this mixture 3 times the first day. At night, sleep on your right side when on flush, pulling right knee towards chest to open pathway. On the second day, take mixture twice. On both days drink all the organic apple juice desired, but no water or any other liquid. (The flush is not for diabetics unless supervised by a health professional.)
About midmorning on the third day, eat a raw variety salad (nature's broom) of cabbage, carrots, celery, beets, tomatoes, sprouts and lettuce, with lots of ACV and olive oil. If desired, have a bowl of steamed vegetables [...]"

Anyone has tried this Gallbladder Flush before?
Is there any scientific ground to all this - malic acid destroying stones?

Today I finished my 7-day-water fast in observance of the summer season.
Since I do have some problems with my gallbladder (in the past, an U/S showed sand in there plus recent blood test showed a high level of Conjugated Bilirubin 6 umol/L (normal range=0-5 umol/L] I would like to break my fast with this cleansing method.

Wish me luck

My first impression about whoever wrote this advice is that he or she had no knowledge of physiology. I would definitely not do nor advise this.

Remember that anything you eat, whether it was mixed before or only later in the stomach, gets digested into its component molecules.

All fats and oils causes contraction of the gall bladder but there's just NO way the position you lie in would "open up" anything other than perhaps your mind. And how on earth diabetes features here I cannot see.

Conjugated bilirubin of over 10 micromol per litre is common during a fast. After all, your gall bladder also rests so some of the bilirubin, after being conjugated to blood sugar in the liver cells, find their way back to the blood. Consider yours normal.

I did my blood tests 2 days before I started this 7-day-fast.

It was discovered during my childhood that I have Gilbert's syndrome, since my indirect (unconjugated) bilirubin was/is always high. But this was the first time in my life when also the direct(conjugated) bilirubin showed to be a little high --a sign of obstruction of the biliary ducts?

However, I plan to do my blood tests again at the end of this fast. If an U/S of the gallbladder wouldn't show sand in the past and if I knew I didn't eat tons of saturated fats in my childhood, I wouldn't suspect that something might be wrong.

I wonder what's under Patricia Bragg's hats . . . I've never seen her without one! I've always wondered if she's balding?

I'm with you, Andre'. I used their Liquid Aminos for a while and glimpsed through a few of their books. While Bragg does advocate fasting, I have never been a very strong believer in apple cider vinegar.

He reminds me of Stanley Burrough of Master Cleanse fame. I also read MC years ago when I was searching for "something" and was struck at the inaccuracy of medical information there, too. No medical training of any type for either Bragg or Burrough.

I was glad to find Dr. Cott in the mid-80s!
