      A Lifestyle Consultant's Course

       

       

      The course covers the teachings of Nature Cure, Biogenic Living, and Natural Hygiene. The multi-disciplinary nature of the course enables the student to gain a broad understanding of the art and practice of natural living. The complete course takes 4 years and is offered at two levels:

      * the "teacher" or "general interest" level, and * the "professional" level.

      To ensure practical understanding and expertise in Natural Living, students studying at the professional level complete a six-month internship with us at our Clohesy River Health Farm. If required, the period of internship may be spread over two years.

      Graduates of the course receive a certificate. Topics by category Topics include: the history, philosophy, and practice of organic farming and gardening, fasting, exercise, natural psychology, counselling, and therapies using natural elements and radiations (hydrotherapy, heliotherapy, geotherapy, raw and organic food nutrition, instinctotherapy/anopsology-instinctive eating, aerotherapy, cosmotherapy, natural psychotherapy).

      History: Ancient, Recent, Modern-American, Indian, European, Australian, British, South African.

      Philosophy: Dialectics & Evolution, The Origins of Matter & Life, Man's Adaptation to Nature, The Laws of Longevity, Man & Vegetation, The Progress of Thought, Man at War with Himself, Life & the Energies of the Cosmos, Agriculture & Public Health, The Symbiosis of Men & Trees, Civilisation & the Simple Life, The Laws of Life, Hygiene (Natural), The Hygienic & Natural Care of Children, Orthopathic Ideas of Disease, The Causes of Disease, The Unity of Disease, Acute Disease, Chronic Disease, The Germ Theory, The Development of Disease, Conditions of Cure, The Rationale of Fever.

      Fourth year: Anatomy & Physiology (continued), History, Philosophy & Practice of Vitaminotherapy-Diet & Nutrition, Cellulotherapy-Fasting, Natural Child Care, Family Planning, Birth Control; and the six-month internship. (Please note: the term Vitaminotherapy was originally coined to describe dietetics and nutrition and is used here in that sense only. It does not refer to vitamin therapy.)
