Hello fellow fasters....
Today is was the first day of my water/juice fast and I seemed to sail through it. I am allowing myself some juice but find I rarely want it. Water fasting and juice fasting are a topic I have researched well and I find it easier to stick to it when I listen to my body rather than the rules. Usually after the third day I cannot bear the thought of juice anyway so no worries.
Something I have found to be quite useful during a fast is to make myself an 'apple margurita'. Lol...okay, there's no alcohol but it's great in the sense that it gives your mouth something to munch on and has a much more interesting taste than water. Just take a cupful of ice, throw it in the blender and then, while it's running, add enough apple juice to make it slushy. Grab a spoon and dig in. Fantastic!
Now, some juicers might argue that the enzymes in the juice will die and there is no benefit in doing this. On the contrary! What is the benefit of not being able to stand another sip of plain old water, caving in, and screwing up your whole fast?
Just how I do it folks and hopefully it will help someone! I'll keep you posted on my progress and thank you for your support!
