Morning of Day 4 a non food day and I am feeling much better than yesterday even though the weather is sub zero.
Will write more this evening to let you all know how I got on today.
Hi evening it is and I am feeling more energetic than yesterday. Less toxins floating about the system and no depression, but still a bit sluggish.
My experience during the last 18 months is 1 Master Cleanse and a couple of juice fasts. Being that its Winter, passing on doing a water fast and going for a juice fast again, which I know is considered by some an oxymoron, nonetheless, that's what is the healthiest and wisest approach for me right now. I could use some support if anyone has something positive to share.
(Morning of Day 3) Yesterday went well and my mood although a little down beat was not as bad as day 1. Today back to work and I can eat again today yipee.
(Evening blog Day 3)
It is odd that although I did not eat yesterday and this is now my second day without food since the beginning of the fast, I did not feel hunger. But my mind intervened and kind of dictated that I should eat so naturally I did, but still not more than usual. Unlike my second day of eating, I did not find that food tasted especially good today, and perhaps this is my instinct telling me that today would have been a good day to fast as well.
I call it 33/15 as the one day off one day on fast translates to 33 hours of fasting and 15 hours of eating. 12 midnight Saturday to 12 midnight Sunday =24 + 12 midnight sunday to 9am Monday =33
The Fast Doctor has indicated that ketosis doesn't occur before 30 hours (For the first 6 hours or so you run on blood sugar, then for up to 24 on (liver) glycogen)
Dry fasting again today. I slept about 2 hours yesterday afternoon, and I've been up all night and day since. I am not tired in the least, which I find a little odd. Typically, I am tired throughout the first few days of a fast. I am off work tomorrow, so I have the day to catch up on rest if necessary.
Day 1 Dry Fast Jan 2, 2009
Started a planned fast today, although I didn't feel up for it at all. Those little voices telling me to spend another day gorging on crappy foods after just returning from a 9 day all inclusive Mexico vacation. Ridiculous! I decided to put the voices out, because I planned this fast for about a month now. The first day is always the hardest for me, and I am so glad I dry fasted today! Tomorrow, I will drink water and exercise if I feel up to it.
