TOPIC: Re: 40 Day distilled water fast

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4834

Hello Everyone,
I hope Im doing this right...If im not suppose to post here let me know. I had messaged the fast doctor because I couldnt find where to post in public. I was extremely low energy at that time. So now I feel better and my mind can think! =) He said something abotu his 5 steps but I went back to the message and it was gone. I cant seem to find it on here. Does anyone know what he was talking about? I was telling him that I have started breaking out the last few days which isnt good for my business because my skin is always perfec, I own a day spa. So I was hoping there was something I could do to keep it at bay so my body would eliminate it the natural way. Also what do you guys think of me using my chi machine 3 times a day is that safe? One more I am doing only distilled water, what do you guys think of this? Good idea or no? I would greatly appreciate any advice. I was doing the MC and I started to think it was bologna and I stumbled online looking at water fasting so the end of day 5 I decided to switch to distilled water only. I have been reading mixed things online some sites say no excercise at all because the body is using all its energy to remove toxins. and I had very little energy until today it was a bit more. Should I expect energy to go up and down?

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4835

You are VERY welcome to post here indeed, dear SomenonesMommy!

You can read a short summary of the 5 step cycle here:

www.fastingconnection.com/1-forum-faq/3-...tep-detox-cycle.html

and this is indeed a natural way of eliminating, something that would happen in one or the other way in our natural habitat. Luxuries of vehicles, air conditioners and elevators often prevent us from elimination naturally.

What on earth is a "chi machine"?

I prefer a mineral water with a reasonable calcium-magnesium content during a water fast but many people are more comfortable with distilled water.

Energy will likely increase as you pass the 3rd day of the fast as fat breakdown gets into high gear, provided you have done several elimination cycles to rid yourself of toxins released from the fat.

I do wish however to caution against deciding beforehand how long you are going to fast. That tends to override "biofeedback" which is more reliable. Listen to your body and if you do not have close professional supervision, a series of short fasts (say 3-5 days every week) has practically the same effect but is much safer.

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4839

Thank you Andre!

Your 5 steps are great advice and I will start tomorrow. How long do you recommend to keep your heart rate up for? Today is 5 days completed on distilled water. I have an appt with a homeopathic chiro to get my blood taken to see how Im doing. Im going to try and go in once a week. My only thing is that he might not be very well trained in this and not know what to look for or give me the right advice. Your right about listening to my body. I plan on taking one day at a time. I pasted what the chi machine does below.I have been using mine for 6 yrs and I love it. I dont know if what it says it does is true or not but I dont care because I always feel great when I come off it. Thanks again!

Chi Machine Benefits
CELLULAR ACTIVATION:Massage stimulation to the sympathetic nervous system opens up the bronchioles to provide maximum oxygen access to the lungs, simultaneously the blood flow to and from the lungs is increased, enhancing oxygen exchange from the lungs to the blood and therefore to the body cells, to excite cellular metabolism.SPINAL BALANCING:With the body relaxed in the lying position with no weight on the spine, the massage unit will influence a correction to certain conditions of misalignment. Such corrective action can in turn cure or alleviate complications arising in vertebrae joints from certain spinal misalignmentIMPROVING THE IMMUNE SYSTEM:The CHI Machine stimulates globulin production which increases the immune system’s defense capacity thereby providing greater freedom from disorders and disease.BLOOD PRODUCTION:Blood is produced in the spleen and spinal bone marrow. Reduction of spleenal blood production can arise from the spleen’s susceptibility to damage. The massager’s action on the spine stimulates the sympathetic nervous system which increases spinal ‘marrow’ blood production. Any form of anemia can be benefited by this massage action RESTORATION OF BALANCE TO THE NERVOUS SYSTEM:If the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems fail to ensure balance of function, insomnia, excessive dreaming, digestive problems, stomach pain. palpitation, anxiety, constipation, neurasthenia and extensive forms of aches and pains as well as mental stress may surface. The influence of the massager on the sympathetic nervous system can restore the vital balance to the nervous system, resulting in restoration of health from such conditions.EXERCISING INTERNAL ORGANS:Western medical science is beginning to consider ancient eastern traditions that focus healing and good health on a life force energy which flows in channels through all living forms. Acupuncture and associated therapies are being increasingly used by western practitioners to ‘invigorate’ the life4orce energy flow to restore health to unhealthy organs. The Chinese refer to this energy as ‘Chi’. The CHI Machine will aid in unblocking the ‘Chi’ pathways and ensure a maximum flow of this heating source, through all body organs, to restore normal or improved functioning to Impaired organs and body systems related to such organs

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4841

Thanks!

I think you are on the right way but unfortunately I have to say the claims of the "Chi machine" beggars belief.

If there were ever one thing that could do all of this, the medical insurance companies would never have wasted money on hospitals and doctors. As a scientist I cannot accept that this is more than sales talk. There seems to be no attempt to explain HOW this machine is supposed to achieve all these miracles.. other than instilling a positive expectation, which might become a self fulfilling prophecy. On the positive side: At least it does so without side effects.

Hope you feel a lot better soon. Happy fasting.

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4847

Andre,

How long (minutes) do you recommend keeping your heart rate up a day?

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4848

The guidelines for maximal heart rate are:

1. you can achieve 220 minus your age for a second or two, DON'T try to sustain this.
2. 200 minus your age can be maintained for a few minutes (5-10) and
3. 180 minus your age is safe to maintain for as long as you feel OK.

Bear in mind that these are vague guidelines. The really fit athlete will never achieve this, due to the conditioned heart.. and various conditions can limit yours. Thus I often recommend you exercise until "out of breath" or until you feel "ready" to proceed to the massage step. Biofeedback is king.

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4858

Andre,

Thank you! and might I add you are awesome for having this site and taking the time to answer everyones questions! OKay so I have a couple more questions. I have been doing your 5 step process and my skin has completely cleared up! So thank yoU!!!!!!

1. I right between my chest there are like these red lines that appeared there not
raised and they don't hurt... Do you think there parasites??? =( there are like 7 of them its strange like I was scratched.

2. I feel like my heart races all the time. Is this normal? Especially when I first wake up. I do the whole deep breathing thing but it takes a long time for my heart to calm down.

3. Can someone tell the difference from your stomach growling and hunger pangs? My stomach growled a lot yesterday.

Thank you, answer whenever you have time =)

1.

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4859

1. If at all possible to post a picture of these lines that would help a lot. What I often encounter is the during the heat phase of the detox cycle, a tiny scratch to the skin can elicit a disproportionate response. See if it "blanches" when you stretch the skin.

2. The heart typically races if there are toxins in circulation. This tend to resolve if you go through the detox cycles repeatedly. But also, fasting does trigger the release of Adrenalin.. particularly if you're not used to it. And in the phase beteween the sugar dropping and the ketones forming you could have a biological stress response.

3. Real hunger sets in when you have run out of reserve nutrients. This typically takes about 40 days in a reasonably nourished person taking in only water. But IF you run out of a specific nutrient before then, you will develop a craving that is:
3.1. Spontaneous (not triggered by external cues)
3.2. Persistent (always for the same food) and
3.3. For ONE, unprocessed, unadulterated, NATURAL food.
This would signal that your body has completed its internal "audit" and now knows what you really need.. unlike McDonald's who only "knows" you "need" to give them your money.

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4860

Blanches in the sense that if I push the skin that is red it turns white? Because I did that and the redness didnt go all the way away. But I think whatever you said is correct. I cleaned my house yesterday and obviously I was hot the whole time because I have swamp cooler and I had a sports bra on I took it off and on the right and left side of my back and I have the same thing that I have in the middle of my chest. I used my dry skin brush and took an xtra hot shower Im going to try and not think about it.

I have been on distilled water only and I noticed that I hardly have to go to the bathroom. If I was drinking as much bottled water as I am distilled I would be using the restroom every 30 min. My friend is on distilled as well and she has noticed the same thing. Do you know why that is?

Okay last question I promise! I havent lost any weight in the last 3 days.(im not only doing this to lose weight =) ) If my body is using my fat for energy shouldnt I expect to lose at least a pound a day if not more? Thank you

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4861

Hi SomeonesMommy.. there should be no difference between distilled and a good mineral water in this respect as water contains so little OTW (Other than Water) substance compared to food anyway.. What I think is happening:

You are burning fat. This releases energy. You use this energy partly to power your body and partly to build muscle. Muscle contains MUCH more water than fat, so this consumes most of what you take in. This is why you are not losing weight: You are converting some of your fat into muscle. Muscle is much heavier than fat.

But also bear in mind that during the fast you release FAT-SOLUBLE toxins, which cannot be eliminated by the kidneys.. so the kidneys may well be on holiday anyway. We often see this, with no urine production for a few days at a time during a fast.

But if you are worried, you can have a blood test for kidney functions.

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4862

Thank you I wish my body wouldnt build anymore muscle =) Im 5'9'' and I had that body percent fat and muscle thing done a few months ago and they said that im 163 lbs of muscle organs water and what not. I consider myself extremely strong. I tested my urine right now and it was on barely pink. I think maybe because its the end of they day. Here I come day 14 im gonna keep on keepin on!

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4863

OK let's see if I can also understand it.. so you are 175 cm and weighs about 74 kg.. NOW I understand! This gives you a BMI of 24.2, in the upper normal range. I agree it would not do harm to lose weight but let that not be your first target. "Happy weight" is more important.

So was the urine pink? That happens when you eat beetroot. Or was the KETONE strip slightly pink? Then you're burning fat. Bear in mind that if you burn all the fat you mobilize you won't need to find any residue in the urine..

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4864

no as of today I am 220 I was saying that when they tested me everything on me except the fat is 163lbs. lol no my urine wasnt pink. I get what your saying about mobilizing the fat. Yes the strip was slightly pink it has been in the dark purple for the last week. But I have been excersizing like you suggested and working really hard around the house so that makes sense. My goal is to get to 175-180 lbs. The rashes are worse I will try and take a picture. Where do I send it to just upload it on here?

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4865

That's great that you are on Day 5... that's when you really start burning fat at a high rate and then, Growth Hormone, which from what I've read, does lots of magic on the body between days 7-10... so if you can truly make it to that point, KUDOS! I noticed with my fast that a little tiny cyst on my arm started to shrink when at about day 6... but it grew back because I ate like a crazy woman when I came off the fast... BEWARE - do not make this mistake. I ate like 5000 calories a day for 9 days after my 8.5 day fast so do EVERYTHING necessary not to break it wrecklessly as I did...

I know you are being very careful with all the steps you are taking and I'm so psyched for you! Have you had a bit of a surge in your energy level? I got that around day 6 or so...but it helped when I worked out... believe it or not, the workout makes you feel so much better.

Good luck!

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4869

THank you Caroline for your encouragment!

I was on the master cleanse for 7 days and then went straight to distilled water. So today is day 8 of water only. I felt very tired today because I had company coming so I was so busy cleaning and what not. Their favorite thing are these oreo balls where you smash up oreos add a block of cream cheese mis it all up and then dip them in milk chocolate. I wasnt even tempted. We went up to the nearest mountain range with it 10,000ft above sea level today for a picnic but its monsoon season in Arizona so it was just pouring rain and it was like 48 degrees so our picnic didnt quite work out. It was hard when everyone trys to get you to eat and I just kept saying I wasnt hungry. I just put my baby down for a nap so hopefully he will let me sleep for a few hours. I try not to focus on how many days Im on but how Im feeling. I just wish I was losing more weight =)

Re: 40 Day distilled water fast 1 year, 6 months ago #4871

I seriously suspect you are losing a lot of weight right now... Like the Fast Doctor says, it may not be showing on the scale, but there's no way you aren't losing fat... Are you using a pair of shorts to kind of gauge how they are fitting? I found that to be a source of motivation when the weight sort of stopped coming off as quickly... but in all honesty, if you feel good and not too drawn to food, I see why you aren't focussing on the days... it's so hard in a way because it's so exciting in the beginning when so much fat is shed...

I'm not so familiar with the master cleanse... I'll look into it to find out more...
