Good for you, I do hope it helps. Regarding the topic: Preparing for fasting. In the roughly 10 000 patients that have fasted under my supervision, hardly ever did we do any "preparation". On the odd occasion when they did ask advice before starting the fast, my recommendation was to have a meal of junk, high fat food as a "last meal" before the fast. This helps "kick starting" the fat based metabolism in anticipation of the fast, making the transition a lot easier.
Steaming every "few days" is however not good enough. I insist my patients complete 2 to 3 cycles of detox per day during a fast. The 3rd step is sweating, the most important step as this activates the sweat glands which is capable of eliminating the toxins that does not "normally" get out of the body.. and detoxing makes it that much easier. If you follow through to the 4th step (cooling down), this blunts the appetite rather effectively.
More detail on the cycle was posted on a few occasions on the forums before.
Wishing you absolute success and excellent health.
André
