      Liquidarianism + Intermittent Dry Fasting - 20/04/2008 11:58
      Hello,
I've been successful now with pure Liquidarianism and Dry Fasting every 2nd Day for 36 Hours. The point of this post is to record something amazing I have noticed. I'm actually building more muscle and getting very toned without any weight lifting as I previously posted. What I want to point out is this; my experience is more proof that we are not equally nurtured by the amount of food we eat, but rather by the amount we assimilate. I propose it may be that the compounding over time effects of over-eating as the cause of the bodies difficulty in assimilating nutrients, continued over-eating in this sickly state then puts the body into toxic mucus/viral/bacteria overload, causing a high rate cellular prolifrications and rapid DNA strand breaks-erasing your blue prints. Much more then happens from this point on, but I'll save that for other posts.
      Sincerely,

Excellent Jordan! Please tell us how long have you now been following this regimen.

Your observation about building muscle is of particular importance. When I look around me here in Africa, I note 2 kinds of animals: Carnivores and Herbivores.

On close scrutiny I note the lion does not really have nice big bulging muscles like in cartoons. They are rether flabby.

The most beautiful, vibrant, bulging muscles are seen in herbivores: Buffalo in particular springs to mind.

You are building muscles from the fruit and vegetables you juice. Just like the buffalo. You use their amino acids to assemble real human muscle fibers from.

Meat-eaters assimilate the muscles of their prey, and since these closely resembles their own, they seldom go to the trouble of transforming the proteins to real human form.

Your juice lifestyle also gives you less fats, so your body is likely going to sculpt itself on muscle level rather than contouring your skin with fat.

Keep it up, and keep us posted please!

      Hi Jordan,

Like you I'm living on juices!
I've begun with a juice fast and feel so good that I decided to going on with it forever or at least, as long as possible...

I would like to ask you questions:
I've noticed that when we juice mangoes or kakis or strawberries it's impossible to get rid of all the fiber,so I hesitate to drink them...
And you, what decision have you taken about them??

And about avocados,I love them but it's impossible to juice them...Do you think it would be ok if I add a little quantity of a blended avocado in a veggies juice, despite of the fiber...?

Or do you think this would break my new style life?
Or worse,as I'm not use to eat solid and concentrated food this would be like a bomb in my stomach, and I would feel as bad as we are when we eat too much after a long juice fast??

As you can see I'm lost and don't manage to make decisions...
      Your help would be precious...

      Have an happy juicy day!

Hope you don't mind me replying, RawSandy..

You should not try to get rid of the fiber. Your intestines move its contents along with a mechanism called "peristalsis" and to achieve this, it needs bulk on the inside. If the volume is too small, the walls of the gut has to contract very forcefully before it can move the contents along.

Also, fiber helps adsorb toxins inside the gut, preventing them from being absorbed.

And fiber slows the absorption of sugars, thus reducing the glycaemic index of the juice.

Soluble fibers in particular has been shown to reduce cholesterol levels and the risk of cancers.

I cannot advise on juicing avocado, but you could well add some avocado puree to other juices.

Remember once more: Your mouth is a juicer for most fruits anyway, so the stomach seldom "knows" whether the juicing was done by a machine or your teeth.. whenever I juice, I try to simply liquidize the whole fruit.

      Best wishes

      André

For Liquidarianism (Juicing) I find it is only necessary to Juice certain foods and the rest chewing will do. I like to juice carrots, lettuce, apples. (There are lots of combos you can make) The one I list taste great! For fruits I don't juice them, oranges are great to chew on and then turn to liquid by the time they reach you stomach. Same goes for all the other soft fruits. The same does NOT apply to breads and nuts etc which can be difficult to digest and may take a lot of energy to assimilate.
      Enjoy!

I've only been doing this for a couple months, but notice positive results quickly almost not recognizing my body. I'm now starting to 'up' the training (more push ups etc.) I have a theory that with the fasting every other day I think the muscle repair should also be faster and so even quicker the results may be - not that I'm in a rush but the faster I put my body back to the way it should be the better. Also I'm starting to question the science of caloric intake and the amount they claim we all need. I'm living and building new muscle on much-much less then what 'they' say I must have...strange.
      Sincerely,

      Hi André!

I don't understand,It seems to me that you said,in one of your other posts, that liquidarianism was the best way of eating? Maybe I am in a mist?
Nevertheless,I tried to add avo in my juice on day 41 of my juice fast,I didn't feel well the first day because as I imagined,it was like a fast break, but today(day 3 after having break fast),I feel better...

Thank you very much for all your pieces of advice and your support!Your are a great help for me!Thanks a lot!
