Hi all,
I'm just finishing day 8 of my 10-day water fast. I'm 29 years old, female, and 5'6. When I started this fast on November 22nd (last Sunday), I weighed 150 lbs. This morning, after 7 full days of fasting, I weighed 138 lbs and am very pleased with the weight loss of 12 lbs. The fast has been a truly interesting experience. Once I made a serious committment to follow through with it, it wasn't nearly as difficult as I had anticipated. I did it for weight loss, detoxification and to make a fresh start with my terrible eating habits.
I'm planning to break the fast on Wednesday, December 2nd. I've been thinking very hard, and have done extensive research on best ways to break a water fast. I really want to take it easy and be gentle with my body. I'm in no hurry to have full-blown meals and I'm hoping to cut junk food completely out of my diet. Today I bought a small jar of baby food which contains a mashed banana, apple and peach and some rice. It's all organic and there's no artificial stuff in it. I'm curious - would this be a good way to break a 10-day fast? I plan to eat a banana for lunch on that day and then another jar of the organic baby food for dinner. Does this seem like an ok plan?
I'd appreciate any tips and thoughts :-)
