Spiritual development for the ancient
Egyptians, Greeks and Hindus was dependent on physical development and
purification of the Soul by virtue. Their selective meagre eating and
cleaning care with systematic exercising in the open, reveal their
unsurpassed forgotten glory. The Egyptian, Orphic and Pythagorean
mystic movements were even more disciplined in their daily eating care.
They avoided religiously certain food as unsuitable for proper
digestion, like all animal flesh and certain legumes. Stomach and
intestinal fermentation are catalysts that leads to acidosis and
establishing a chronic dyspepsia. All chronic illness and
especially dyspepsia, affects not only the body and the mind, but the
Soul and the spirit too. Men (Beings) in a perfect physical state are
the epitome of beauty in the animal kingdom and Godlike in human flesh.
Anything below that level, is of a “decadent nature” which is self-made
by unnatural living and undisciplined upbringing. When the human
natural senses are abused, they become the source of all kinds’ misery
and mental downfall. The philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson knew
too well when he wrote: “The body sends obvious and signals to indicate
the state of health of the whole hierarchy. When the mind is trapped by
fantasies and illusions, when the emotional life is overwhelmed by fear
and anxiety, the body reacts. There is an intelligence operating there
that picks up impulses and then sends warning signals to the nervous
system, signals which may or may be picked up as warnings by the
conscious mind. If the response to those signals is limited to
relieving only the outward symptoms, (by palliative drugs) then the
imbalance continue and the whole structure is thrown off”.
Here is a list of some diseases which directly derived from ignored
and suppressed-chronic dyspepsia. I have collected them carefully
through my long (practical experience (1973-2006. Morbid
appetite, xerostomia (dry mouth), morbid thirst, palpitations, rapid
eating, overeating, flatulence, constipation, insomnia, piles,
headaches, irritability, migraines, bad breath, laziness, painful
menstruation, prostate enlargement, impaired vision, deafness, chronic
hepatitis, jaundice, gall-stones, kidney-stones, pyloric stenossis,
appendix, tonsils, toothache, dry skin, acidosis, spongy-bleeding gums,
colic, biliousness, tumours, anger, jealousy, poor memory, intestinal
worms, nervousness, crankiness, fear, critical mind, egotism, loneless,
morbid religious, fanaticism and even insanity. The list is endless.
Did you survive from this list? If you did, you are one of the very few
fortunate happy fellows on this planet, and you should become a true
healthy teacher to other ignorant fellows around the globe. Example in
shining health and loving character is more impressive as a teaching
influence than all the academic diplomas and degrees”. “Doctoro” in
Latin mean a teacher of something that knows and possess in fact and
not a prescriptive remedial monger? If the body is perfectly
constructed as a vehicle of the soul and to communicate with the
divinity, surely it is well equipped for self healing and regulating
any biological ailments and abnormalities. Dr John Tilden
wisely once said: “Germs always act under given circumstances; namely,
when the body is enervated –when resistance is lost. Then to prevent
germ action, the proper thing to do is to keep the standard of health
above the point where germs thrive. What must the therapeutic agents?
Correct eating, correct care of the body, correct sanitation and sane
well-balanced mind. A knowledge that will help man, woman and children
to enjoy health, evolve the greatest efficiency, and save them from
driven senility or early death, is procurable today. None but the
misinformed will go about seeking cures, cures, like salvation, spring
from within, not from without. KNOWLEDGE IS THE ONLY RELIABLE
THERAPEUTIC AGENT”. Dr Dimitri Karalis Hermanus –Western Cape South Africa -July 2006
