What would the ideal water fast (length) look like to reduce body fat %.. 30/40/60.. days.. which?

also put into consideration of (I plan on) doing 1-3 hours of cardio/working out 3 times a week while fasting.. will take it lighter then I normally would eating. but put this into consideration.

Dear Thutankhamun, I could give you an answer to this perplexing question if you could give me an accurate answer to the question:

"What is the length of a piece of string?"

There are just too many unknowns and determinants. A man can lose up to a kilogram of fat in a day but if he has 10, that's 10% and if he has 100, that's 1%. Women can lose up to about half a kilogram of fat per day.. but honestly, it's a bit dangerous of me giving figures like these as there's just no standard.

Doctor, if one already is in ketosis, could we assume we burn purely fat? Under these circumstances he could estimate his daily energy expenditure and then figure out how much grams of fat it makes. I always count 1 g of fat as 9 calories.

Only fat forms ketones so if you are in ketosis you do burn fat. But that does not prevent you from burning any other reserves including protein. By using the muscles we prevent them from being targeted as energy substrate.
1 gram of carbohydrate/protein = 17 kJ
1 gam of fat = 35 kJ.
1 (kilo)Calorie = 4.2 (kilo)Joules.

No I do NOT advise against exercise during a fast. Even a long term fast. On the contrary, if you do elimination cycles to get rid of the toxins liberated during the fast, exercise is imperative.

Our genes survived because they could find or catch food even after a long famine.

But please use your biofeedback and don't do something that hurts. Pain is there to protect you, to warn you that what you do is harmful.

Ok so I have one more question: Aproximately how much have I detoxed so far (4 days) and long does it take to detox the majority of toxins.. Again, I know this is a general question but I figure you have the knowledge to make a educated guess.

Notes: I'm vegan/fruitarian mostly raw (about a month now though I've had some cheat days) I quit chewing tobacco about 2-4 months ago (used it off and on for years) and before going vegan ate alot of shit.

How much you have detoxed depends on how active you were, how many cycles of detox activity you have done so far and how intensely, the kind of toxins in your system and how long they have been there (for example toxins dating back to your childhood may lie very "deep" inside the fat cells), what kind of environmental toxins you have been and are being exposed to, the climate you experience whilst detoxing, the efficiency of your sweat glands, your hydration state, the activity of your liver enzymes (for example whether they have been induced by chemical such as alcohol or barbiturates) and a long list more.

I think we need about 1 day of detox for every 7 days we live to remain practically fully detoxed. But if you have a high concentration you can likely eliminate about 30 days's buildup in one day.

These are educated and experiental guestimates.
