Reading the news - regarding the mutant strain of E-coli which has infected Spanish Cucumbers, Tomatoes and other fruit/Veg.
I thought only Dairy products were affected, not now, even a harmless Cucumber could kill!!!
Is it wise not to cook veggies, by eating raw? Also going to fruit/veg after a fast could result in one becoming sick.
Might be easier & safer either to eat processed foods or not eat at all...

I thought it was sprouts that were affected. I for one am not going to change my eating habits. The more processed a food is, the more likely for contamination. I read that you can spritz 3% peroxide onto foods as a non toxic veggie wash. (Source The New Good Life by John Robbins) Not sure if you were supposed to dilute the peroxide with water. I usually eat produce on the way home from the store without washing. And besides, the general guidelines call for a quick rinse. To me that does nothing. Any other thoughts?

I think if there is any doubt about it being affected then one could either decide to eat cooked food presumably that woule kill the super bug or get a spray bottle of colloidal silver and spray the produce with it or dunk it in a bowl of colloidal silver.
