Hey everyone :) . I've had a membership here for a few months, but haven't actually done anything with it. However, tomorrow I'm starting my first fresh juice fast, and I guess I'm just looking for a little support. I've tried water fasting a few times before, but I never get past day three. So this time around I'm trying juice fasting in hopes that it'll be a bit less harsh than just plain water. My hope is to juice fast for a good two weeks as a way to ease into water fasting, then juice fast as a way to break the water fast. I'm probably planning a bit too far ahead, so I guess now it's just a matter of getting through the first few days. Anyhow, if anyone has any tips or words of advice, or can share their experiences, it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome FishOutOfWater, Good luck with your juice fast. One of our bloggers has just switched to water fasting after 3 days on juice. I think that would make a great transition because you can begin the detox process on juice and get some of it out of the way. I would encourage you to continue trying to get past day 3 in water fasting. Those three days are the worst and it gets so much better from there. You will be amazed at how wonderful you can feel on water only. I'm on day 9 water only. Click on Blog to see some fasters at work. There is a lot of support waiting for you here. Blogging will help because it holds you accountable for what you post. But if you don't reach the goal, don't worry, we've all been there. Just get back on the horse and try again. Good luck!

Hello! Good luck with your juice fast! I don't have much experience with juice fasting. I know when I drink water (on a water fast) I'm hungrier than when I don't, so I'm curious how your cravings turn out.
The first three days are definitely the hardest on a water fast and after that your energy picks up a lot and I usually feel better than ever. Today is starting my 4th and I'm feeling better. It is hard to find the motivation to go that long, but my motto is I can always do "that" tomorrow. Everything I didn't do today b/c I was fasting is not going anywhere, and most likely didn't taste as good as I'd imagined anyway.

I just found this site. I've been juice-fasting since January 9th, with some periods of solid food in between. I'm currently on day 10 of my second juice fast--and on Friday I'll end it and return to solid food for 10 days.
